I understand the concept of making and keeping a promise. However, if a person was bound by a promise against his free will, I would rather let him do whatever keeps him at ease.

For example, what if you promised someone that you will never leave his or her side, but you fell out of love for him and all that’s what’s keep you together is that one meaningless promise.

I’m not the one who would force anyone to keep anything if it was to stand in the way of their happiness.

I understand the concept of making and keeping a promise. But I keep the option of not fulfilling it understandable as well.
